  3. Citadel Nuln Oil Gloss all over, followed by Matte Varnish
  4. Drybrush of VMC Bronze and VMA Aluminum mixed
  5. Citadel Nihilahk Oxide applied selectively in recessed and watered down on the model
  6. VMA Dead White airbrushed from above
  7. Citadel Valhallan Blizzard applied lightly.
  8. The plinth was various greys airbrushed on with the above bronze effect applied to decorative bits.

Showcase: Cruel Seas, Vosper MTBs

Four British mid/late Vosper MTBs all finished (minus flags) for Cruel Seas. The cloth mat here is from GW’s old naval game, Dreadfleet, and I think it works perfectly for now! These models were a nice, relaxed experience painting – very enjoyable! Now on to the rest of the Royal Navy Fleet boxset while I wait for my starter set and rulebook to arrive.

Showcase: Chinese Captured Type 95 Ha-Go

Finished up a Captured Japanese Type 95 Ha-Go tank for my Bolt Action army, the Chinese 8th Route Army.

Taking inspiration from this historical photo, I’ve marked the side of the tank with the traditional characters 突擊 (tūjī in pinyin). For more on the meaning of this phrase, see here.

If I ever get motivated, I’ll likely strap some bamboo poles and a tarp onto the exterior as well.
